ABSTRACT

This study presents the Romanian version of Psychiatric Diagnostic Screening Questionnaire (PDSQ). Psychometric properties were assessed in different clinical and non-clinical groups of adults (N = 1581) from different parts of the country. The PDSQ has excellent sensitivity and a correspondingly high negative predictive value. Validated against diagnostic criteria and interview-derived diagnoses, the PDSQ has proven effective, convenient, and reliable. It allows primary care providers to routinely consider comorbidity without significant additional demands on their time.
