(2) Applied research (e.g., new diagnosis or treatment methods, technological applications) which improve
practice;
(3) Metaanalyses and reviews, reflecting the cumulative character and the current state of research in a special
area;
(4) Comments and interviews. Innovative articles of special interest may be submitted to multiple peer
commentary and a rebuttal by the author may be also published. Interviews are devoted to outstanding
scientific personalities;
(5) Reviews of influential books and articles.
